Whitney Reed in distress after missing a shot in his gruelling Wimbledon match which he lost to Neale Fraser. Fraser won 5—7, 6—4, 4—6, 6—1, 7—5.
Neale Fraser, Australian holder of the Wimbledon men's singles and No. 1 seed nearly lost his title in the second round of the men's singles at Wimbledon yesterday (28.6.61). Fraser was 5—4 down in the fifth set to American Whitney Reed who is virtually unknown in Europe, but with the grit and determination that champions are made of Fraser produced three unreturnable services to make it 5—5 and then volleyed his way to a 6—5 lead. Fraser finally won the match 5-7, 6-4, 4-6, 6-1, 7-5.
