When beautiful South American actress Viviane Ventura saw her first Hollywood movie at the age of ten, she resolved that one day she would be a film star herself.
Born in Colombia, she left there at the age of 12 with her mother and settled in London, where she began her dramatic studies. She made her London stage bow at 16 in a Christmas production of "Peter Pan. Her film debut came in "Come Fly With Me, before appearing in several British comedies. Her most recent motion picture role was in "Lord Jim".
Now, at 18, she plays the leading female role in 30th Century Fox's Ä High Wind in Jamaica" as the oldest of seven youngsters taken captive aboard a pirate ship captained by Anthony Quinn. Beginning her ordeal as an innocent young girl, she eventually emerges as a mature and passionate woman.
