CONDITION EXCELLENT -- U.S. Astronaut Virgil I. Grissom walks with officers of the carrier USS Randolph after a preliminary medical check-up is completed following his successful suborbital flight down the Atlantic test range from Cape Canaveral, Florida, July 21. Project Mercury doctors reported him in excellent condition after his 16-minute ride through space. Later he went to nearby Grand Bahama Island for additional checks and rest before returning to the Cape for a press conference.
