This is the unit of the Adder Machine (on right), showing the cog wheels, weeder, coils and Potentiometer. The coils induce the wheels to revolve by means of magnetism. The wheels attracted by the coils move a distance corresponding to the escapement between two of its teeth. The weeder then shows the increase in number of tickets. Each unit has a weeder.
