Three Allied cargo ships go to the bottom. And the U-boats which sank them close in to record the final moments. Televiewers will see these dramatic pictures, secret until now, on their television screens soon. They form part of a documentary made up of the official World War II films of ten countries.
TOP PICTURE: A torpedo explodes amidships, and flame-reddened smoke billows from a stricken ship.
SECOND FROM TOP: A ship dives, stern first, in clouds of steam and smoke.
BOTTOM PICTURE: The end. In a calm sea, the ship goes under.
The documentary, "Victory At Sea", is to be shown in episodes on television.
