Stanley Baker - After driving lightning racing cars in “Checkpoint” and a Jaguar in private life - now turns to ten-ton trucks. It's for his latest picture “Hell Drivers” - the story of the men who drive on Britain's haulage runs - Stanley is a ballast driver. To get the feel of the open road he spent a day in a transport cafe. He is fighting tough as a haulage driver in his latest “Hell Drivers” which is the drama of men who battle for their livelihood in ten-ton trucks. Stanley Baker and Herbert Lom are hell drivers who fight to achieve new lives. Peggy Cummins is the girl they both love. Also starring are Patrick McGoohan, Jill Ireland and William Hartnell. The film is produced by Benny Fisz and directed by C.Y. Endfield. It was made at Pinewood Studios and on location on the roads of Britain.
