These little ones grow up under conditions not fit for human beings in the hut town of CROSSROADS near Cape Town. The huts are without water, electricity and sewerage. Here bad medical care, poverty, and illiteracy are an expression of the racial discrimination which from the children subjected to from the very first day of their lives - 100, 000s of black and coloured children die in South Africa every year as the consequences of the apartheid policy yet before they reach their 5th year of life. Every second child of the black [words covered by another paper-clipping] becomes not older than 10 years. While the infant mortality of the white South Africans is 18.2 per 1,000 births, it [words covered by another paper-clipping] with the black and coloured babies. While the white children attend school over 10 years in general, it is hardly 4 or 5 years with children haven another skin.
