A new fair-ground was opened in Addis Ababa, capital of Socialist Ethiopia, on the occasion of a national trade show at the end of 1982.
On September 12th, 1983, it will be nine years since the feudal-capitalist regime was abolished and the "Provisional Military Administrative Board" (PMVR) took over governmental power in Ethiopia. Since that time, a fundamental process of socio-political changes has continued in this African country. Consolidation and extension of the economic basis form the central part in this process. Priority is given to the development of agriculture where 85 per cent of the population produce principal food, important raw material for industry and export products.
