Now this weight acts on a blade fixed to each unit and it tends to raise the blade to a horizontal position. The weights and blades are marked on the picture. The fluctuations of these blades revolve the Potentiometer in their respective unit of the Adder machine. On this potentiometer is marked the dividend it would pay at that time.
