Left to right are: Major Andrian Nikolayev, who was blasted into space in Vostok 3 on Aug. 11th; Lieut. Col. Pavel Popovich, who went into orbit in Vostok 4 on Aug. 12th., Major Yuri Gagarin, Russia's first spaceman, and Major Gherman Titov, who was the Soviet Union's second cosmonaut.
