Command pilot Grissom watches from the hatch of the floating Apollo spacecraft as Astronaut Roger Chafee steps down to join Astronaut Edward Aldrin on an inflated recovery raft. The Earth orbital flight, which may last up to 14 days, is scheduled for early 1967.
