"Queen Addresses Sierra Leone Parliament"
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip are pictured inside the parliament building in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Her Majesty for the first time presided over the Parliament of an independent West African country, and the Prime Minister of Sierra Leone, Sir Milton Margai, welcomed her as "Queen of Sierra Leone."
In her Address, the Queen spoke warmly of the welcome she and Prince Philip had received during their visit to Sierra Leon, and of the progress being made.
