In defiance of the strong condemnation of the world's people, many flights of U.S. imperialist aircraft continuously bombed the outskirts of Hanoi and the residential quarters of Dong Anh district, north of Hanoi on Sep. 4.
Answering President Ho Chi Minh's great militant call, the army and people of Hanoi city fought heroically. They beat back many assaults of the enemy planes with intense gunfire and brought down three U.S. pirate planes.
