Washington : Mr. R. S. S. Gunewardene (left), Ceylon's Ambassador to the United States and Mr. J. Burke Knapp (right), Vice president of the World Bank, signing the agreement which will enable Ceylon to receive a new loan of Rs. 71,400,000 from the World Bank and private investors to push forward the electrification program in the populous western portion of the island. This is the third loan the Bank has made to Ceylon.
