These 6- to 14-year-old Zimbabwean children live and learn in a ZAPU camp outside Southern Rhodesia. Many of these little refugees are orphans. Smith soldiery killed their parents, sisters and brothers. Only a dangerous flight saved these children's lives. ZAPU tries to gives them safeness and to make their stay in the camp as bearable as possible. The GDR's Solidarity Committee sent several consignments of food, tents, blankets, clothing, medicine, manuals and exercise books to this camp.
Initiated by the UN, the International Anti-Apartheid Year begins on March 2st, 1978.
Various actions are to contribute to the isolation of the South African apartheid regime and to support the people still oppressed in the South of Africa.
