Scope and content
Rumours were rife recently about the unsatisfactory state of King Nadir Shah's health. These rumours have been denied by reliable cables from Afghanistan. King Nadir Shah is fit as the proverbial fiddle. The above latest photograph was sent by His Majesty specially for exclusive publication in the "Illustrated Weekly" through a friend. His majesty is not keen to figure in the public press and has been refusing several requests for his latest photograph but he made an exception in the case of our paper.
