A landslide that occurred about 8 miles north of Kaohsiung, Taiwan wiped out the whole village, killing twelve persons. Twenty six persons were missing and many others were seriously injured. Upper picture shows two freight trains almost buried by the avalanche of rocks and mud descending from the hill seen in the background, while in the picture below survivors near a cement factory are seen searching for the missing persons and salvaging what they could from the debris.
