Scope and content

Above: The Colonel signing his autograph for an admiring youngster, one of the many who surrounded him as he left the Riverside Presbyterian Church in Cocoa Beach, Florida on January 21.

US Marine Lt. Col. John Glenn has resumed his special low-residue diet at Cape Canaveral, Florida, in preparation for tomorrow's attempt to launch him into a triple orbit of the earth.
It was the weather which prevented the previous attempt on January 27th, when Glenn spent five hours atop an Atlas rocket, waiting for the launching that never came.
Later, scientists found a leak in the fuel tank of the 78-foot rocket and a launching planned for February 1st was also postponed.
