Moscow: Training in snow-covered fields near here is one of the Russian hopes for the Grand National "Epigraff" ridden by jockey Vladimir Prakhov.
The horse, with two others, will soon exchange the snow of Moscow for the green fields of Aintree to prepare for England's biggest race, in two month's time.
Mr. Philip Nikitavich Pika, an official with the permanent Russian trade delegation in London, has become the formal "owner" of the racehorses because a British racing rule governing the Grand National says horses must be privately owned. In Russia all racehorses belong to the state.
