The Viscount Airliner carrying Mr. Menderes, the Turkish Premier and party to London for the Cyprus talks, (last week) after it had crashed at Newdigate, Surrey. Mr. Menderes, who was one of the 10 survivors, escaped with minor injuries. The plane had been diverted from London to Gatwick Airport owing to the fog. Fifteen people lost their lives.—(S & G.)
