Huge crowd gather around the wreckage of a light helicopter carring Socialist Party Chairman Mosaburu Suzuki which crashed in Maebashi city May 30. The Socialist leader, pilot and co-pilot of the 'copter were injured in the aerial mishap. Suzuki was on his way back to Tokyo when the chartered helicopter struck a telephone line immediately after takeoff and crashed into the street. Socialist candidates for the Upper House election were depressed over their leader's injuries three days before the crucial election on June 2. Is it an ill omen for the Socialists?
