Leaders from four nations study the World Congress on Evangelism — "One Race, One Gospel, One Task"— during the opening convocation on October 26, in Berlin.
Right to the left are: Dr. Billy Graham, USA honorary chairman of the Congress; His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, who addressed the Congress; Bishop Alexander Mar Theophilus, bishop of the Southern Diocese of the Mar Thoma Church, India; the oldest known church in existence; and Pastor Miningon Lebende from Upper Velta, who read the scripture passage in French.
The Congress has drawn 1,200 delegates and observers from more than 100 countries, and closes on Nov 4.— (Kongresshalle, Berlin).
