Hedigalle Pannatissa Nayaka thero, the Chief Sanghanayaka of India, the Chief Monk of the Sanchi Viharaya, India and Agrasravaka Maha Viharaya, Colombo, visited Zail Singh, the President of India at Rashtrapathi Bhavan, New Delhi. A 2000-year-old Buddha statue was presented to the President of India by the Nayaka thero. In the picture are (from left) L. Ariyawansa Nayaka thero, the Chief Monk of the Buddhist Viharaya, Delhi, the President of India, R.S. Parashar who is a Buddhist MP of India, Mr. Siva Mangala Subha and Hedigalle Pannatissa Nayaka thero.
