Warship high and dry on rocks after gale.
A minesweeper of the Royal Navy, H.M.S. Sultburn, is perched on the rocks at Speaks Mouth, near Hartland Pont, Devonshire, after having been driven on to the rugged coast in the gales which swept the English Channel.
The Clovelly (Devonshire) lifeboat was damaged in an attempt to reach the 'Sultburn'.
The minesweeper was being towed in rough weather and broke adrift. There was nobody aboard at the time.
