Champion Jockey Gordon Richards received a great ovation when he rode Twenty-Twenty in to victory in the Stoughton Plate at Leicester today (Monday). It was his 260th win of the season - a new all time record of 259 successes had stood since 1933. Twenty-twenty who scored only by a head from Diable de Gosse II, was Gordon's 3472nd winner in the 28 seasons he has been riding.
