More than 600 people were involved in this train crash near Welwyn Garden City station. One passenger, Mr. Frank Clemmell, was killed and 26 people were injured. The trains were the overnight express from Aberdeen to King's Cross and the 6.18 local train from Baldock to King's Cross. The express crashed into the back of the local train at 70 m.p.h. The aerial view above was taken shortly after the crash.
