Seen at Lord Derby's Woodland Stud, New market, was the three months old foal by Ballymoss out of Persian Lilac. Ballymoss owned by Mr. John McShain of Philadelphia - is one of the most successful of racehorses. In 1957, Ballymoss won the St. Leger at Doncaster (£14,500) ; Irish Derby (£6,700) and was second to Crepello in the Derby. As a four-year-old he won the Coronation Stakes (£3,500) ; Eclipse Stakes (£11,670) ; King George V and Queen Elizabeth Stakes. Ascot (£23,600) and the Arc de Triomphe, Paris (£50,000). Photo shows the foal with its mother, Persian Lilac - on the Stud Farm yesterday.
