Members of America's first thee-man Apollo spacecraft team outside the Manned space-craft Center at Houston in Texas. They are (left to right:) Edward White, Virgil Grissom and Robert Chaffee. Both White and Grissom are from the U.S. Air Force and are veteran astronauts. Navy lieutenant Chaffee has yet to make a space-flight. The first Apollo flight, which may last up to 14 days, is tentatively scheduled for the first quarter of 1967.
