A driver who reversed his car onto a level crossing at Narahenpita had a miraculous escape when an on-coming train smashed right into the car. According to the police the driver had come to the traffic courts which borders the level crossing and in an attempt to park his car had reversed into it. The train then hit the car wrecking it. But the driver was pulled out uninjured. A view of the overturned car is pictured here after the accident.
