Cinema racing - the new betting game which is expected to rival Bingo - got off to a good start when 1,600 excited "race-goers" attended the first full try-out at the Royal Ballroom, Tottenham. The idea is that half of an evening will be spent in Bingo and the other half Cinema Racing during which old American films will be shown on the screen - the "race-goers" backing their selections. All money staked is to go to the "punters", the promoters getting their share from the entrance fee. Keystone picture shows a general view during the try-out of cinema racing.
