The British troops who were captured by Bedouins and Yemeni soldiers when they strayed across the border into the Yemen while on an exercise at the weekend, have been moved from the fort at Maakbh, 1000yds from the frontier at gunpoint after their commander Major Ormerod had refused to move unless two of his men who were ill were taken back to the border. After the request had been granted, the 16 men remaining were taken off on an 80 mile trek across the blazing desert to Taiz.
