Blazing liner saved from capsizing.
Ablaze since early yesterday morning the £1,000,000 cargo liner CORINTHIC was slowly righting herself last night, having survived the danger of capsizing. She was developed a 30 degrees list when the fire ravaged her insulated hold in the fitting-out basin of Cammell Laird's shipyard in Birkenhead. The CORNITHIC was due to take her trials as the world's largest refrigerator ship on a few weeks.
