"Beneath Stockholm's Traffic Round-About – The Slussen"
View from beneath a section of the "Slussen" – Stockholm's ingenious modern solution to the traffic problem. In fact the "Slussen" had been in operation since before the 2nd World War, thus anticipating subsequent developments in other countries. The system operates on a basis of four concentric circles, linked by a series of underpasses and flyovers. In the background is the "Katarina–hissen", the big life which leads to the 'Gondolen' restaurant from which there is a superb view over the city.
