Rescue workers searching the wreckage of the chartered Britannia airliner which crashed on a hill outside Nicosia recently. The airliner, owned by the Swiss charter company, Globe Air, crashed in a rain and hail storm after being struck by lightning.
Only four people of the 128 on board survived. Most of the passengers were reported to be Swiss and Germans returning from a trip which included Bangkok, Colombo, Bombay and Cairo.
The plane was piloted by Capt. Elmo Muller, a Ceylonese pilot who also died in the crash.
