Afghanistan -- The main market street of the historic city Gazni, with the old fort (now an army barracks) towering over it. Gazni is about 200 kilometers southwest of Kabul and only 50 kilometers from the border of Pakistan. The city was named after Mahmud Gaznavi, who once invaded India and ruled it, and his sons ruled India too.
