The land reform is being carried through: 36 farmers received an own piece of land (photo) in the village of Nedshrab, in the north-east of the country, in June this year. The documents handed over to them say that the peasants are owners of one or two hectares of land now. More than 110, 000 farmers in Afghanistan have received land without payment since January 1979 within the land reform proclaimed by the government. The reform is carried through in all provinces of the country. Thus, the century old feudal conditions practically have found an end.
