Administrative history
The Sri Lanka State Plantation Corporation was established under Act No.4 of 1958.
The main objects of the Corporation were - to raise, develop, maintain and manage plantations approved by the Minister on such lands as may be alienated to the Corporation and to undertake the management of any planted Crown Land. The Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation Act was amended in 1979 and 1985.
