Administrative history
Tile National Milk Board was established by Act No. 12 of 1954 to establish and maintain facilities for the efficient services for production and marketing quality Milk at reasonable prices to consumers in Sri Lanka. The National Milk Board commenced its activities in 1954 with one collecting centre at Nattandiya and had its processing Plant established in Narahenpita.
