This Commission was appointed by the Governor General on 11th October 1970, to inquire and report on the following matters.
The working and administration of the Ceylon Broadcasting Corporation established under the Ceylon Broadcasting Corporation Act No. 37 of 1966, From the time of its establishment up to the end of May 1970, with particular reference to\
(a) The management of the corporation during the above-mentioned period
(b) Whether there has been any improper use of wastage of the resources of the corporation or any proper use of properties belonging to the corporation during the above mentioned period.
(c) The recruitment and deployment of personal during the above-mentioned period.
The measures that should be adopted in order to secure the more efficient management of the Ceylon Broadcasting Corporation as a nationally useful instrument of mass communication.
