This Commission was appointed on 22nd July 1966, by The Governor General to inquire and report on the procedure, and the principal criteria followed by the Ceylon Commercial Banks Association in the promotion of their Employees from the rank of clerk to the rank of Assistant Officer or any other equivalent rank and to report whether any changes are desirable for existing procedure or criteria.
